Section 2 – Services
- The Clients shall furnish the Doula, in writing, with the birthing location and its address, a list of emergency contacts and any allergies [...]
- The Clients shall contact the Doula by telephone call at the onset of labour. The Doula shall, within 2 hours of this conversation, report to the residence detailed in Section 1, or the alternate location given. Voicemails, e-mails or text and Facebook messages are not an acceptable substitute for an answered telephone call.
Section 3 – Covid-19
- To inform the other party of exposure to someone positive for covid-19.
- To inform the other party if testing positive for covid-19.
- All parties must remain covid-free for the entirety of any face-to-face periods of interaction. The Doula will not be obligated to work while any visitor, resident or staff in the household tests positive for covid-19.
Section 5 – Payment
- The Clients understand that the Doula is not under contract until this sum has been paid and the Doula is free to enter into another contract with competing dates at any point until such time that payment has been remitted.
- The balance of payment is to be remitted on ------- at 5 p.m. local time, or, within 48 hours of completion of services, whichever comes first.
- The Clients understand that cancelling the Doula’s services at any time will result in a forfeiture of any monies paid to the Doula.
- The Clients understand that a cancellation of services is not an absolution of the payment of any balances owed to the Doula within the scope of this contract and all balances owed on cancellation of services must be remitted within 24 hours of such cancellation.
- Failure to remit payment as detailed by this contract shall attract a penalty of USD $10 per hour, rounded to the next hour, during which payment is late.
Section 6 – Miscellaneous
- The Doula does not diagnose medical conditions.
- The Doula shall not be asked to diagnose medical conditions nor attend to medical conditions or medical emergencies.
- The Doula’s suggestions, such as in the case of first aid, shall not be understood to be a diagnosis, nor shall they be construed as being the advice of a medical professional.
- The Clients and Doula understand that violating any part of this agreement at such point immediately releases the other party from any remaining obligations.
